Australian Catholic University
Earns ´óÏó´«Ã½ International Accreditation
Tampa, Fla., USA (November 14, 2024)— (´óÏó´«Ã½) announces that has earned business accreditation. Founded in 1916, ´óÏó´«Ã½ is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools, and the largest business education network connecting learners, educators, and businesses worldwide.
“´óÏó´«Ã½ accreditation recognizes institutions that have demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curriculum development, and student learning,” said Stephanie M. Bryant, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of ´óÏó´«Ã½. “We congratulate Australian Catholic University and Executive Dean Andrew O’Neil on earning accreditation and applaud the entire team—including the administration, faculty, staff, and students—for their roles in earning this respected honor.”
Synonymous with the highest standards of quality, ´óÏó´«Ã½ accreditation inspires new ways of thinking within business education globally. As a result, less than 6 percent of the world's schools offering business degree programs hold ´óÏó´«Ã½ business accreditation. Through today’s ratification, a total of 1,037 institutions across 65 countries and territories have earned ´óÏó´«Ã½ accreditation in business. Furthermore, 193 institutions maintain supplemental ´óÏó´«Ã½ accreditation for their accounting programs.
ACU Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and Provost Professor Julie Cogin said the accreditation reflected ACU's commitment to excellence in business education.
"We are proud to join the elite group of business schools around the globe that have met the high standards set by ´óÏó´«Ã½,” Professor Cogin said. "This accreditation recognizes ACU's commitment to harness the power of business to advance community wellbeing, creating opportunities for people and communities to flourish.”
´óÏó´«Ã½ accreditation ensures continuous improvement and provides focus for schools to deliver on their mission, innovate, and drive impact. ´óÏó´«Ã½-accredited schools have successfully undergone a rigorous review process conducted by their peers in the business education community, ensuring that they have the resources, credentials, and commitment needed to provide students with a first-rate, future-focused business education.
“Australian Catholic University’s commitment to earning accreditation is a true reflection of their dedication—not only to their students, alumni network, and greater business community, but to the higher education industry as a whole,” said Bryant. “Today’s students are tomorrow’s business leaders, and the addition of Australian Catholic University to the network of ´óÏó´«Ã½-accredited business schools will have a lasting positive impact for their institution, both locally and globally.”
